Desucon is a Finnish convention for the fans of Japanese animation and comics. First organised in June 2009, the soon-to-be annual Desucon has doubled its programme for 2010! Events featured include lectures, cosplay, maid café, artists' alley, dealers' room, game corner and video screenings.
The guests of honour for Desucon 2009 were the distinguished voice actor Tōru Furuya; lecturer of film studies at Hanazono University, Ryūsuke Imai; and director Kiyokazu Fujimoto of Pyrotechnist Co., Ltd., management company for the renowned manga artist group, CLAMP.
Desucon 2010 will be held in the award-winning congress centre Sibelius Hall located in the city centre of Lahti. Due to the increased number of available lecture halls and extension of night-time programme, we can offer twice the amount of activities of Desucon 2009, with the main stage capacity at 1,229 seats and the expected number of visitors at around 2,500 attendees.
Details about the guests of honour for Desucon 2010 will be released when available.
